Programme:
Day 1. Arrival to Klaipeda or Palanga (Fly to Palanga or Fery to Klaipeda). Arrival to hotel. Guided sightseeing around Klaipeda. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 2. Juodkrante – Nida (35 km)
Bustransfer to Juodkrante-Curonian Spit National Park. The tour in the national park includes the essential sights: Hill of Witches – the park of wooden sculptures, dunes. Late in the afternoon arrival to Nida. Overnight at the hotel in Nida.
Day 3. Nida
Guided sightseeing around Nida- the old town of Nida, includes Thomas Mann house, Amber gallery, dunes and many more. Later you will be able to take a refreshing bathe in the Baltic sea, take a walk along the shore as all afternoon is your free time. Overnight at the hotel in Nida.
Day 4. Nida-Uostadvaris-Rusne-Vente (25 km)
Early morning start your boat trip to the River Nemunas Delta –Uostadvaris. Afterwards cycle to Vente , visit to Ornithological Station in the Ventė Horn, where the North Atlantic migratory route of birds leads through. Dinner and overnight at country farmstead in Ventė.
Day 5. Vente-Jurbakas-Kaunas ( 45 km)
Transfer Vente – Jurbarkas. Cycling towards Kaunas. The segment is one of the most beautiful in Lithuania, rich in castles and beautiful landscapes. In the afternoon arrival to Kaunas – second largest city in Lithuania. Guided sightseeing around Kaunas – visits to Kaunas Castle, Cathedral, Town Hall square. Dinner and overnight in Kaunas.
Day 6. Kaunas-Trakai (40 km)
Early morning Transfer Kaunas-Vievis. Afterwards cycling from Vievis to Trakai and take excursion to the 14th century gothic Castle built on an island in Lake Galvė. Late in the afternoon transfer Trakai – Vilnius – the capital of Lithuania. Dinner and overnight in Vilnius.
Day 7. Vilnius
Guided sightseeing around Vilnius famous for its Old Town, which was designated by UNESCO as the World Heritage Site. The tour includes the highlights of Vilnius: the Cathedral, the Gates of Dawn with a holy image of Virgin Mary, St. Peter & Paul’s Church – a pearl of Vilnius baroque, St. Anne’s Church. In afternoon, free time to explore the city.
Dinner in local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8. Vilnius – Palanga-Klaipeda.
Start your day by bus from Vilnius- to Palanga. Arrival to Palanga, the most popular Lithuanian resort, where you visit the Amber Museum located in a Botanical Garden. Afterwards cycle to Klaipėda through the Seacoast Regional Park, former soviet military polygon. On the way to Klaipeda enjoy nice views of the Baltic Sea from the highest coastal cliff in Lithuania – the “Dutch cap”, and Plocis Lake with a lot of rare birds and coastal grasslands. Bus transfer to feryterminal in Klaipeda or to airport in Palanga. Departure. |
